Arrowroot powder can be used in a variety of meals as a natural thickening agent, which can be used in the same way as cornflour. Arrowroot is a plant-based starch that can be used in both sweet and savoury organic recipes.
A good tip for using arrowroot is to avoid adding arrowroot powder directly to water as it will clump instantly. Instead, make a slurry (a paste) before introducing it to recipes. To make a slurry simply mix equal parts with water and stir into a paste, then its ready to add to recipes.
